Walter Kirchhoff · President

Walter started in the industry in 1987 as a manufacturers’ representative. He formed Specialized in 1996. Walter is a 1985 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Walter handles sales to major accounts and directs Specialized. He is married to Lori and has three daughters. In his spare time, Walter likes to golf and fish, and vacation with his family.

Kevin Jorgensen · Vice President

Kevin has worked in foodservice operations in both casual and fine dining. He joined Specialized in 1998 as a Sales Representative and became a partner in 2002. Kevin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1985 with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Kevin handles most of the daily sales duties at Specialized. He is married to Marianne. Kevin enjoys mountain and road bicycling, skiing and swimming.

Brian Bender · Sales

Brian joined Specialized in 2010 after spending 10 years in Minor League Baseball. He graduated from the University of Miami (FL) with a BS in Broadcast Journalism and a BA in History as well as minors in Sports Management and Sports Marketing. He was a member of the 1999 and 2001 NCAA National Champion Hurricanes Baseball teams. Brian is married to Mindy and has two children.

Tracy Thoren · Office Manager

Tracy joined Specialized in 2005. She graduated from Purdue University in 1989 with a degree in Advertising and Marketing. She handles the marketing functions and provides office support. Tracy is married to Dale and has three children. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and various activities with her family and friends.

Amy Voss · Sales

Amy started her career with Specialized in March of 2014. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Amy has an extraordinary passion for coffee and has an extensive background in the industry, working for both corporate and independent coffee shops. When she isn’t busy at the office Amy loves spending time with her family (husband Michael, Kids; Christopher and Liliana) and drinking coffee.

Barbara Rycerz · Controller

Barbara joined the team at Specialized in 1998 and quickly stepped into the role of Controller managing all the behind the scene financials and reports. Barbara loves to shop and travel and retired in 2010 to enjoy these activities. However, missing her friends and co-workers at SMW, she was easily influenced to return to her role in 2012 in a more limited fashion allowing her to do both – working and enjoying all that she loves to do.

Dick Kirchhoff · Warehouse Superintendent

Dick came out of retirement to join Specialized in 2001. He is in charge of logistics, maintenance, show set ups, and special projects. Dick is married to Myong and is a proud grandfather of 17. Dick enjoys movies, both old and new, and is considered to be a master movie buff.

Anne Runkle · Administrative Assistant

Anne started with Specialized in 2016 and has a passion for serving others.  She hones many years of food service experience, in both front and back of the house.  Anne graduated from Cardinal Stritch University in 2008 with a degree in Business Management.  She enjoys cooking for her three children.  During her free time, Anne is not afraid to get her hands dirty with home improvement projects.

Seth Miller · Executive Chef

Seth Miller was born in Milwaukee, but grew up in VA and OH. Regardless of where he has been, he has always been a Packer fan.  He has degrees from Washington U in St. Louis in Anthropology and NYC Tech College in Hotel & Restaurant Management.  Seth completed an apprenticeship at Le Perigord Parc in NYC.  He has had been in the industry since the early 80s and has a wide array of experience.  His specialties are eclectic Italian, Middle Eastern, French and modern American cuisines.  Seth has two adult children and enjoys tennis and snow skiing.

Located in Waukesha, serving all of Wisconsin.
